Description of the Project:
National Geographic Channel tasked us with creating a companion site for their new movie, Killing Kennedy. For KennedyandOswald.com, we blurred the line between creativity and technology by developing an interaction mechanic that was also a narrative device. We focused on the user experience to create a responsive, cross-platform; scroll-based parallax site that intertwined the story with the site’s scrolling functionality. Within the first two weeks of launching, the site garnered more than 150K unique views. And during the two-hour TV world premiere of Killing Kennedy, almost 5K people interacted with the live-sync technology, a new National Geographic Channel record.
