‘The Harvey Nichols summer sale has famously become one of the most hotly anticipated events during the annual summer sales in the UK. The chance to get ahold of cutting edge designer gear, has literally sent otherwise totally sane shoppers, into a frenzy. In the Summer of 2012, Harvey Nichols experienced a sale like never before-on opening day, they gained record breaking sales figures. The first time in their 181 year history. Their entire handbag collection sold out in 20 minutes. This crazed love of Harvey Nichols goods at sale time, and the behaviour of shoppers during this period, lead to creation of their 2013 sale campaign. The Harvey Nichols ‘Headless Chickens’ sale campaign is an homage to their frenzied, but fashionable customers, running around to get their hands on the most coveted fashion pieces at a fraction of the usual price.’
