Description of the Project:
The Challenge: Get tourists interested in the fascinating history of the Berlin Wall and create awareness for the city's museums.
The Idea: With a spectacular installation on the Berlin Wall, we let photo-taking tourists discover the history of the former border. A surprising technology turned the last remaining sections of the Berlin Wall into projection screens. The projections were invisible to the human eye. Only through the flash of cameras did historical images appear on the tourists' photos. Our installation turned normal sightseeing tours into thrilling time travels. Tourists got stunning photographic souvenirs and Berlin’s museums got lots of new visitors.
