In this original music score for GE, we wanted to take a look at the world through a child's eye. We pre scored the project, imagining the script as described to us in a child like but not childish way. We needed to approach it with a certain sense of innocence but also with a strong conviction as this young girl is speaking with pride about something she is so very proud of. She is sophisticated and intelligent and the music had to describe every part of her. We would have been dumbing down who she is and how intelligent she is if we would have just thrown a track with a toy piano on the spot. This story deserved more and so we created playful soundscapes out of sophisticated instrumentation.
